At the end of the July holidays, FGV will hold Immersive Week, a unique opportunity for young students to get to know undergraduate courses up close through simulated classes and practical workshops.

Immersive Week will take place from July 21 to 24, 2025, with activities at 9am, 11am and 2pm.

The next edition of the AIP Conference will be held at FGV EMAp, Rio de Janeiro, from July 28 to August 1, 2025, and it will gather academics, practitioners, and students working in the area. Inverse Problems are focused on reconstruction of quantities of interest from indirect observations. They occur in medical imaging, non-destructive testing, geophysical exploration, astrophysical imaging, many high-resolution microscopy techniques, data mining, finance, econometrics, and other fields. Research on Inverse Problems combines techniques from mathematical analysis, differential geometry, numerical analysis, machine learning, image processing, scientific computing, and computer science. The AIP conferences are organized biannually, and they have become the largest meeting in the field. Hosting the first AIP in Latin America, as well as in the Southern Hemisphere, is a great honor and a unique opportunity to disseminate Inverse Problems research in the Brazilian mathematical community.

The School of Applied Mathematics of Fundação Getulio Vargas - FGV EMAp will host, from September 15 to 19, 2025, at the FGV Cultural Center, in Rio de Janeiro, the XLIV National Congress of Applied and Computational Mathematics (CNMAC 2025).

Sponsored by the Brazilian Society of Applied and Computational Mathematics (SBMAC), CNMAC is the most important congress in its field in Latin America, bringing together researchers, professors, students, and professionals from various sectors to discuss recent advances in Applied and Computational Mathematics.
