Sônia Maria Durães
Holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros, a master's degree in Mathematics from the Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada, IMPA and a doctorate in Mathematics from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. She is currently a professor at the Getulio Vargas Foundation - RJ and a retired professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Has extensive experience in the area of Mathematics Education, at a Higher Level, also working in Postgraduate Studies, in the area of Partial Differential Equations. For several years she participated in the IM-UFRJ Partial Differential Equation Seminars.
