In 2020, completed my PhD in Computer Science at Royal Holloway, University of London under the supervision of Prof. Alberto Paccanaro. During my PhD, in 2017 I visited Prof. Mark Gerstein’s lab at Yale University. I was awarded the Reid Scholarship by Royal Holloway, University of London to pursue my PhD. In 2015, finished my engineering degree in Computer Science at the Universidad Católica “Nuestra Señora de la de Asunción”.

I work on Computational Biology. Specifically, I focus on Protein Function Prediction, and have collaborated in the development of automatic annotation algorithms and functional databases such as S2F and ICRep.

In addition to Computational Biology, I am interested in the development and adoption of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, especially when it helps combating climate change.
