Holds a master’s degree in Mathematics from IMPA and a bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering by UFRJ. He is a high school and university teacher and a teacher of training courses for high school teachers promoted by IMPA. Member of the Editorial Committee of RPM (Mathematics Teacher Magazine - Revista do professor de Matemática). Member of the Executive Committee of the Brazilian Mathematical Olympiad. Author of several books dedicated to mathematics teachers and training for the Olympiads.
