About Event
This month, the Academic Directory of Applied Mathematics at FGV will start the cycle of lectures on the role of Applied Mathematics in several areas of the labor market. Among the subjects most voted by the students, we chose “Data and statistics analysis” as the theme of our first lecture.
Our guest, Carlos Eduardo de Mello, is a data scientist and has experience in the consulting area for start-ups, providing data analysis services for user profiles, product recommendations and market segmentation. He holds a PhD in Computer Science with an honorable mention from École Centrale Paris and UFRJ (COPPE-UFRJ), where Carlos has collaborated with one of the best Computer Science programs. He is currently an adjunct professor of Information Systems at UNIRIO.
This is an incredible opportunity for all students and interested parties, and our lecture is open to the entire EMAp community, including undergraduate students, master's students, professors and administrators.
